Earlier this week I interviewed journalist and author Jamie Bartlett, who specialises on the impact of modern technology on our society and the associated subject of radical political movements. In his most recent book “The People Vs Tech: How the Internet is Killing Democracy” Bartlett argues that modern technology is undermining the basis of our democratic system. Bartlett also wrote “The Dark Net”, about radical and unusual internet based communities, and “Radicals”, in which he investigated a number of fringe political movements (some of which are a lot less fringe now than when the book was published). You can buy any of the above books via the Amazon links at the end of this post.
