The executive of South Suffolk Conservatives have refused to reselect their 68-year old MP in a secret ballot.
Yeo is reaping the consequences of a woefully poor Parliamentary attendance record. Having spoken in just 12 debates this year, Yeo has voted in only 59% of commons votes in this Parliament. Whilst better than former Prime Minister Gordon Brown, who’s spoken in 3 debates and voted in just 13%, Yeo’s record is still well below average.
The question is, where has Tim been when he should have been in Parliament?
Working. Well, at least not working for his constituents. Tim Yeo is a Director of more companies than I care to list, something he was caught on film boasting about in a sting by the Sunday Times.

A lot has been made in the media about some sort of radical modernisation of the Tory Party. The reality however, is of a local association that had the balls to stand up to an egoist of an MP who was no longer representing their interests, or the interests of the constituency.
Tim Yeo is expected to appeal for a ballot of all Conservative Party members in South Suffolk to ultimately determine his fate post 2015.
